We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and hardworking After School Club Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. Our successful After School Club runs daily during term time, providing a safe, fun, stimulating and welcoming environment for children attending.
As an After School Club Assistant, you will play an important role in ensuring the safety, welfare and positive behaviour of children attending the club. We are looking for someone who is creative, enjoys working with children and can work on their own initiative.
Key responsibilities:
● Supervise and support children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
● Deliver fun, creative activities appropriate for children’s ages, promoting safe and inclusive participation.
● Play games with the children and encourage positive social interactions, modelling our school values and addressing any concerns promptly.
● Prepare and serve ‘tea-time’ snacks with food hygiene and allergy-awareness requirements.
● Assist with setting up and tidying resources and equipment before and after activities, ensuring all areas remain safe and hazard-free.
● Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the club.

● Confident to manage pupils positively and fairly.
● Takes initiative and contributes to the team.
● Flexible and willing to adapt to the needs of the children and the club.
