At Cornerstone School, we’re looking for a compassionate, adaptable, and committed EBSA Teacher to support children experiencing Emotionally-Based School Avoidance (EBSA) through a unique hybrid model of home-based tuition and on-site support via The Haven – our dedicated, nurturing EBSA provision.
The successful applicant will provide personalised 1:1 teaching in students' homes, tailored to individual learning needs and emotional wellbeing. Alongside this you will plan and deliver small group sessions in The Haven, a safe space for gradual reintegration into school life.
You will collaborate with SEND teams, families, and external agencies to deliver holistic, trauma-informed education and promote resilience, self-esteem, and academic progress through therapeutic and creative teaching approaches.
This job will play a vital role in helping students re-engage with learning and flourish.
We're looking for someone who:
• Is a qualified teacher (QTS) with a track record of excellent classroom practice
• Demonstrates empathy, patience, and emotional resilience.
• Understands the barriers faced by students with Autism and EBSA.
• Can work flexibly across home and school settings (UK driving licence required).
• Values inclusion and thrives in a collaborative, compassionate team culture
This post is a customer-facing position and falls within the scope of the Code of Practice on English Language Requirement for Public Sector Workers. The school has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
