At Longlands Primary School, we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and committed part-time Class Teacher to join our friendly and supportive primary school team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher who is dedicated to creating an engaging, inclusive and inspiring learning environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their very best. The successful candidate will have high expectations for all pupils, a strong commitment to nurturing children’s wellbeing and development, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues alike. We are looking for someone who brings energy, creativity and warmth to the classroom and who will play an active role in the wider life of our welcoming school community. Longlands Primary School is a forward thinking and successful, one and half form entry school in Sidcup. At the heart of our school is a strong sense of community, where relationships matter and every child is encouraged to achieve, grow in confidence and develop a love of learning. As part of our committed and supportive staff team, you will play an important role in helping pupils feel safe, valued and inspired each day, providing support in the classroom, working with small groups and individuals and celebrating every step of progress along the way. We are looking for someone with kindness, patience, energy and a genuine passion for working with children—someone who will embrace school life and make a lasting difference to the experiences and achievements of our pupils. Candidates should have experience working within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), although the teaching position may be based anywhere across the school depending on the needs of the successful applicant.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Offers of employment are subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure and other employment checks.
