The Headteacher provides strong, strategic leadership for Crook Log Primary School, working closely with Governors to ensure the highest standards of education and outcomes for all pupils. They are responsible for the day-to-day management of the school, embedding the school’s vision and values into all aspects of practice.
The role ensures a high-quality curriculum and excellent teaching are central to strategic planning, resource management, and school improvement. The Headteacher leads the development and implementation of clear, evidence-based improvement plans, policies, and procedures in line with statutory and legal requirements, and oversees the effective management of school funding and financial planning to ensure resources are used efficiently and sustainably to support school priorities.
They foster a culture of high expectations, accountability, and continuous improvement, overseeing effective performance management and staff deployment in partnership with the leadership team. The Headteacher builds strong relationships with parents, carers, and the wider community to support pupils’ achievement and personal development.
They are responsible for clearly communicating the school’s performance and priorities to Governors and other stakeholders
