  • About The Role

  • St Columba's Catholic Boys' School is looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor. Unqualified Teaching post would also be considered (hours of work tbc).

    You will possess excellent oral and written communication, and will ideally have some experience of working with students in a secondary school. The post involves facilitating the work set for students by their class teacher/department when absent. The Cover Supervisor is expected to ensure students remain on task and complete their work during classes as well as attend form times.

    This post is a customer-facing position and falls within the scope of the Code of Practice on English Language Requirement for Public Sector Workers. The school has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the JD/Person Specification.
