  • About The Role

  • We are looking to appoint a brilliant SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team at Crayford Primary.

This is an opportunity to become a part of a forward-thinking team where you can develop your skills as a valued member of our support staff. You must have the skills needed to work with SEND children; the ability to be able to plan and deliver bespoke interventions; and the ability to manage the different behaviours that each child exhibits at any given time.

Our school is proud to host a dedicated Resource Provision, giving our staff access to high-quality training, specialist expertise in SEND, and strong professional support. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced practitioners to develop your skills and make a meaningful impact on pupils with a wide range of needs. This collaborative environment ensures you are well equipped, well supported, and continually growing in your practice.

We will expect you to promote an inclusive culture through Crayford Primary enabling all children to achieve their best, overcoming barriers to learning and participation.

This post is a customer-facing position and falls within the scope of the Code of Practice on English Language Requirement for Public Sector Workers. The school has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the JD/Person Specification.

Please refer to the Job Description and Person Specification for more information.

For an informal discussion about the role please contact Sian Flood on [email protected]

  • About Us

  • Crayford Primary was rated a 'Good' school by Ofsted in March 2024. We provide targeted support and a broad education to enable each and every one of our pupils to reach their full potential and to grow into well-rounded members of our community.

Ofsted inspectors highlighted the following key strengths:
Pupils enjoy attending Haberdashers' Crayford Primary
We maintain high expectations for learning and achievement, resulting in strong pupil progress across various subjects, including SEND
We have designed an ambitious and rich curriculum, and we effectively support pupils with SEND
We actively promote a love of reading,  using diverse book selections to enhance pupils' comprehension and understanding of the world

All pupils including those at post 16 deserve the opportunity to achieve their full potential. They are only able to achieve this if they live in a safe environment and are protected from harm. In recognising this, the Haberdashers’ Academies Trust South (The “Trust”) has procedures of which all staff should be aware for the protection of pupils and the handling of suspected cases of the abuse of pupils. These include procedures to be followed if a member of staff is accused of abuse. This is a statutory requirement, applicable to all academies within the Trust, to ensure that pupils and staff are safe and understand their responsibility in child protection.

Join Haberdashers’ Academies Trust South and belong to something more: • An extensive support network, opening doors to countless growth opportunities. • An established name, which you can be proud to work for • An unrivalled legacy, born out of a vision to reach young people through education.
