  • Longlands Primary School is seeking a skilled and experienced Premises Manager to join our friendly and dynamic team. Longlands Primary School is a forward thinking and successful, one and half form entry school in Sidcup.     We are seeking an experienced, capable, enthusiastic, problem solving, highly organised and skilled Premises Manager with good knowledge of Health and Safety and evidence of excellent communication skills and a “can-do” attitude.  

    The Premises Manager will lead the organisation of statutory, general maintenance and upkeep of the buildings, premises and grounds of Longlands Primary School to ensure we are providing a safe, secure, clean and warm environment for pupils, staff and visitors. We are looking for someone who is able to work independently as well as part of a team and can be extremely flexible to meet the operational needs of the school. Confidence in using ICT packages is essential alongside the ability to communicate with a diverse range of stakeholder’s including parents/carers, local schools and multi-agency colleagues. We are keen to appoint a highly professional and confidential individual to provide all Premises related support to the Headteacher. 

    This post is a customer-facing position and falls within the scope of the Code of Practice on English Language Requirement for Public Sector Workers. The school has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the JD/Person Specification.
