    Trinity Church of England School is seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of English to lead and shape the future of our vibrant English Department.  The successful candidate will be an experienced, outstanding and inspiring classroom practitioner, with a strong commitment to further developing outstanding teaching and learning at each key stage.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    Curriculum Leadership: Developing and implementing a broad, balanced, and adapted English curriculum that inspires a love for literature and language.
    Team Leadership: Leading, supporting, and developing a team of dedicated English teachers to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
    Student Achievement: Monitoring and enhancing student progress and attainment in English across all year groups.
    Strategic Development: Contributing to the school's strategic planning and development, ensuring alignment with our mission and values.
    Whole-School Contribution: Participating in the wider life of the school, including pastoral care and extracurricular activities.

    This post is a customer-facing position and falls within the scope of the Code of Practice on English Language Requirement for Public Sector Workers. The school has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
